Subjective experience of the dance and at the same time inviting the viewer to interpret it for themselves. It is an imaginary representation of dance, of movement, almost floating, which addresses irrationality and moves away from a structured representation. The final shots in the development of the project were made on an extremely long open shutter.
Solo is not only about solo jazz dance, but also alludes to the time in which the project began, a time when we were all trapped in our own homes, dance halls were closed, socialising was forbidden, and one way or another we danced alone.
