Heatwave is a series of photographs describing my view of the summer at sea I spent on the Slovenian coast and in Krk in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Since I myself have been avoiding beaches and swimming since I was a little girl, and in a way I think that all of this reflects today’s consumerist, mainstream society as well. Between the lines and the title, the series also touches on, or may allude to, the current and threatening topic of global warming, which also stems from the pervasive human consumer mentality.
